FabricLovers.com was started in February 2007, by Gary and Sabra--a husband-wife team who live on California's Central Coast with their three daughters.  After thinking about it for a while, Sabra realized it was a good idea, but that she wanted to offer more than just a place to buy fabric. Her vision was to sell fun, unique fabrics as well as to offer a place for customers to show off their creations, hook up with a favorite charity, and have a cool place to hang out and shop!

The store is now owned by Beth and Dean who reside in Columbus, Ohio.

Both new and old owners like using interesting fabrics (have you noticed how certain fabrics can brighten your whole day?). So we decided to stick with  “fun, unique, novelty, and conversational prints, and fabrics that make you say ‘Wow!’”  You’ll be hard-pressed to find a boring fabric on this site! We try to pick patterns and notions that will work well with our fabrics, and we love selling items from independent manufacturers. So, if you have a product, pattern, or fabric you think we’d like, drop us a line!

Another important aspect to the website is our Photo Gallery.  Doesn’t every sewing enthusiast love to “ooh” and “aah” over another’s completed project (and how about showing off the one you’ve just completed)?  Not only is it fun, but it gets everyone’s creative juices flowing! So send in those pictures of your completed projects, and we’ll post them in our gallery! 

Just as the previous owners, Beth also decided she wanted the shopping experience on her website to be fun. Let’s face it--life’s too short to be stuck shopping on a dry, dull website!  So this website was designed to offer a fun shopping trip—from the name of the business, to the website design, to the items we offer for sale, to the contests we have, and to our special promotions.
