we have pledged to donate a portion of our proceeds from our online fabric store every month to the Salvation Army. We chose the Salvation Army because we wanted a charity with a proven track record and whose efforts are felt all over the world, just as our customers come from all over the world. The Salvation Army has been in existence for over 140 years and is one of the largest social care providers in the world. Some of the areas that the organization works in are addiction dependency, health services, social work, emergency response, human trafficking, and family tracing. We also recognize that the sewing and quilting community is overflowing with charity-minded people who love to help others, so we decided to dedicate this page to organizations that offer an opportunity for you to spread joy with your sewing skills! This is by no means an exhaustive list, but hopefully it will be a good start, and charities are listed in no particular order. If you are aware of a charitable organization that uses the skills of the sewing community, please send us their information and we will add them to the list. This charity benefits the children hospitalized at Cook Children's Medical Center in Fort Worth, TX. They provide many items including quilts, pillowcases, and totes. Patterns are listed on the site. |

| ConKerr Cancer | ConKerr Cancer was started by a mom whose child was diagnosed with cancer. She made pillowcases to brighten up his hospital room, and now the organization donates pillowcases world-wide. |
